Thomas Shubrick

Thomas Shubrick was born in 1755 and died in 1810. He served in a South Carolina Regiment and participated in the siege of Savannah. He was also a member of the South Carolina General Assembly and Privy Council 1782 to 1788.

"Died on the 4th inst. at Belvedere, his seat near Charleston, South Carolina, Colonel Thomas Shubrick. His distinguished military serviced during the Revolutionary War are well known. He served with gallantry and ability as Aide-de-Camp of General Lincoln while he commanded the Southern Dept. of the American Army; was also an Aide to General Greene; and conducted himself with so much bravery in the Battle action at Eutaw Springs as to merit the thanks of Congress and a medal. He also served as Commissary of Prisoners in the Southern Department and effected the exchange of ma prisoners. Died age 54 years."
