Archibald Perkins
Archibald Perkins, Revolutionary War Soldier, of Greene County, Georgia, drew land in the 1832 Georgia Land Lottery. He was born 1744 in North Carolina, of Scotch-Welsh lineage, and was married in Virginia in 1764 to Elizabeth Gibbs. He first began purchasing land in Greene County, Georgia in 1791, 575 acres, and 200 acres on Old Town Creek. Archibald died at the age of 96 years! His LWT in Greene County, Georgia, was probated November 1840.Archibald Perkins was a Private in the North Carolina Troops and fought at the Battle of Guilford Courthouse.

The Southern Recorder, Nov 3, 1840. "Archibald Perkins, a Revolutionary War Soldier, died in Greene County, at the residence of Rev. Albert Jernigan on the 15th ult., in his 94th year. He was a native of Goochland County, Virginia and was in the Battle of Guilford in North County. Member of the Methodist Church for over fifty years."
