Charles Lavender

Charles Lavender, a resident of Amherst County, Virginia, South Carolina, and Georgia, was a Revolutionary War Soldier. He fought under General Washington at Valley in 1777. He had twenty-two children! Lavender was twice married, was six foot three inches tall, and was 99 years of age when he died on May 5, 1802 in Edgefield District, South Carolina. He was married in Amherst County, Virginia on December 32, 1785 to Lucy (born 1766,, died Jackson Co., GA June 14, 1846), as per his pension application #W8025. At the time of his death, he only had three children still living.
