Thomas Sim Lee

"Thomas Sim Lee was a citizen of Maryland and early espoused his country's rights and sternly opposed British wrongs. He served his country in various public capacities; he was a member of the Continental Congress, and a delegate to the Convention that framed the Federal Constitution and governor of his state. He lived in the full enjoyment of the esteem of his numerous friends until 1819 when his lamp of life was snuffed out by death."
