John Lamar

John Lamar, born 1740, was a Captain of the Georgia Militia during the Revolutionary War. He married Mary Appling who died 1822 in Columbia County, Georgia, her LWT naming daughters, Lucy Hill and Martha Lamar; sons, John and Harmony; and son-in-law, Reuen Hill. The LWT of John Lamar dated May 3, 1799, probated August 15, 1799 in Columbia County, named the heirs as: Lucy, Martha, Jackie, WIlliam, and Harmony.
