Drury Jackson

Drury Jackson, a Revolutionary War Soldier, was a son of John Jackson. Drury served under Colonel Elijah Clarke who certified that he served in the Georgia Troops. He was born in 1741 and lived in North Carolina when he married Nancy Mayfield (1749-1837). Drury Jackson died in 1801, age 60 years. The Warren County, North Carolina records, Vol. 1, 2, Abstracted Records of Colonial Bute, page 52, Drury Jackson witnessed the LWT of William Kendinrage, age 72, (1764-1766).

The LWT of Drury Jackson, Wilkes County, Georgia Will Book 1792-1804, page 103, left to wife, Ann, all property for her widowhood or life, and to be divided among the children. Date: June 21, 1792, probated February 20, 1794.

The heirs of Drury Jackson sold his plantation located on Fishing Creek and Newford Creek to Hartwell Jackson.
