Jeremiah Dupre
"Jeremiah Dupre, Revolutionary War Soldier, born Brunswick County, Virginia on November 16, 1754, a descendant of the Huguenots. He came to Washington County, Georgia in 1791. In 1808, he moved to Twiggs County, Georgia, and, in 1826 to Houston County, Georgia, where he died on September 3, 1838, aged 84."

Dupre, Jeremiah. 4/9/1834: 10/22/1838. Wife, Nelly, West 1/2 of lot 214 in 10th dist., and Negroes (Zenith, Daniel, Isham), etc. Daughter, Nancy Worthy, to receive Negro Zenity at wife's death. Son, William H., Negro boy Isham. Son, Daniel, Negro man Daniel. Grandson, Jeremiah Henry Dupree, the son of Simon Dupree, West 1/2 of lot 214 in 10th dist. Son, Simon, a Negro man (Jacob) and lot 182 in 10th dist., 202 1/2 acres. Daughter: Elizabeth Pain, Negro girl (Phillis). Daughter, Polly Harvy. All property already given to my children, viz: Tabitha Tomberlinson, Samuel Dupree, Ira E. Dupree. Executors: Sons, Ira E., William H. and Simon Dupree. Wit: James M. Kelly, F. W. Jobson, Alexander Smith, Joshua Pattishall.
