John Carper Sr.

John Carper Sr. (1757-1845) owned land in Pulaski County (now Montgomery), Virginia in 1793, 113 acres.

John Carper enlisted in the Revolutionary War in 1780 in a company commanded by Captain Samuel Gilkinson, under Colonel Campbell. He was in the Battle of Eutaw Springs and Camden. His pension application , dated November 1, 1830, he was 73 years old, and had no lands, but owned farm animals.
