David Campbell

David Campbell, the son of David and Mary (Hamilton) Campbell, was born 1750 in Augusta County, Virginia, and died in Rhea County, Tennessee on Nov 11, 1812. He was married in 1779/1780 to Elizabeth Outlaw, the daughter of Alexander Outlaw) born 1738 N. C., d. 1826 Alabama).

" David Campbell served under General Nathaniel Greene in Rhode Island and Georgia. In October of 1780, David Campbell was Captain in the Virginia Militia, and fought in the Battle of Kings Mountain. In 1779, he was a Judge in Franklin, North Carolina.
