Anthony Bonnell

Anthony Bonnell was born in 1741, died Screven County, Georgia in 1805. His Last Will and Testament dated 19 Nov 1804, named his wife and son, WIlliam; also, daughter, Elizabeth, and grandson, John. Mentioned were: Archibald Mills, Henry Bryant, Anthony Bonnell Jr., and Thomas F. Lovett.

During the Revolutionary War, in 1774, Anthony Bonnell served as an Ensign in Burke County, Georgia, 4th Regiment. He was promoted to 2d Lieutenant of 1st Co. in 1778.

After the war, he received a land grant in Burke County, Georgia, but resided in Screven County.
